Unapologetically Indigenous

Women have been the backbone for every worthy circumstance at every point in time throughout history. We are the voices of reason (when indecision hovers, when decisions are made, when chaos threatens, and when chaos occurs).

These STC media presentations will highlight “Indigenous Women Through History” who were/are the epitome of strength, resilience, and influence. These women include Actors, Aerospace Engineers, Aviators, Biologists, Composers, Dancers, Educators, Environmentalists, Explorers, Firefighters, Historians, Medics, Poets, Ballerinas, Producers, Public Officials, Soldiers, Sports figures, Singers, and Musicians. Our full focus includes 30+ Indigenous women and will be produced in video and stage presentation format.

We are actively working on the first in the series! Segment 1 “Unity – Cockacoeske’s Dilemma” reflects on how this descendant from the Powhatan families reacted when her people were threatened by two battling factions, and how her ancestor Matoaka (Pocahontas) might have influenced the choices she made.
